Description

Last week Usian Bolt won his 3 Gold Medal for 100m in the Olympics. He was kneeling to pray and thank God for his victory.

All the hard work he has been through and all the pain he has been through. He was also praying to his dead Grandma.

You could hear the crowd roaring because their champ has done it again. Now you know the fastest person in the world.

No one thought he could do it but he fought through it and now he is the one to beat. He is the fastest there is the fastest there was and the fastest there will ever be.

He also won the 4x100m relay for jamaica and that was his 3rd medal for the relay. He also won the 200m.  That was his 3rd time winning a medal for the 200m.

Common Wealth Games

Last week Benji Marshall and Ben Barba had a shock draw. This was at the Commonwealth Games. Everyone  got of their seat because someone broke the world record for the 100m. But they didn’t know who broke it and then the host said it was a tie between Benji and Ben. But let me tell you how it happened from the very beginning.

On the 18 September 2023 was the 100m final and the competitors were Billy Slater, Jarryd Hayne, Ben Barba, Chris Sandow, Greg Inglis, Josh and Brett Morris and last but not least The favorite to win, Benji Marshall.

They were all very very fast but the first qualifier was the one who won it last year, Benji Marshall. But the people’s champion was Ben Barba. So the two people who had the best chance of winning was Benji Marshall and Ben Barba.

The competitors were warming up. But suddenly Benji Marshall was screaming in pain because he sprained his ankle. So the doctors came in and carried him to the medical room and wrapped his ankle. But the race was about to start without him. On your Marks, Set. But Benji Marshall appeared from nowhere and said, “I am going to race”. So the starter repeated on your Marks, Set, GO. Everyone was draw but Ben Barba was going in the lead. But Benji Marshall came out of nowhere and came 1st draw with Ben Barba and broke the world record at the same time.

My Holidays

In the holidays I went to Samiu’s house to pick him up so we can go to the movies. When I got there he was playing in his boxers. So I told him to go change so that we can go to the movies. Then when we were at the movies my mum went and bought us some snacks and she told us to choose the movie. Samiu wanted to watch the men in black. I wanted to watch it too, but it was one hour away. But Ice Age Four was five minutes away so we watched it.

After the movie my mum went and got us 20 dollars each. Then we asked her to go to the warehouse to get us something. Samiu got a kicking tee and I got mystic flyers but it turned out to be a waste of time. But I still got a new memory card for my phone. After that event I just stayed home and play games.

Tug of war champions

Tug of war is made up of 8 people. The teams have to wait for 5 seconds until they pull. Sadly Glen Innes lost. But there was still good sportsmanship from the other team.
Glen really wanted to win but sadly they didn’t. Looking at the team with their sad faces hurt me. But they made their family and us proud. We rewarded them with a party.

Mahe Drysdale

Mahe Drysdale just finished his event, the single sculls. He got a gold medal. When he won I got off my seat and screeched “GOD BLESS NEW ZEALAND!!!”.
Anyway Mahe Drysdale is 33 years old, 100kgs and 199 cm. He is an Olympic medalist from New Zealand.

He is probably the best rower that New Zealand has ever had. But it was a pretty good comeback from 2008 in Beijing. The thing that happened in Beijing was that he blacked out  and the doctor said that his heart rate was higher than a human.

I hope he will get another gold for New Zealand  in the next Olympics .

Swimming is an event when you race in water. There are all kinds of events to swim. There is 200m breaststroke, 200m freestyle, 200m butterfly and 200m backstroke. There is also 400 meters of those events.

My favorite event is 200m and 400m medley. A medley is event in swimming when you change styles every time you touch the wall. But in 400m you have to touch the wall two times before you change styles.

There is also a team event in swimming. It’s a relay. You have to have five people form the same country to enter it.

This term my class studied about a New Zealand artist called Robin Kahukiwa.
She draws super heroes that revolved  around her culture and the people who inspired her.

We had to do the same thing and that was to draw a Super Hero. We had to chose three people who inspired us. I chose my Grandpa, my Mum and Benji Marshall.

The high heels represents my Mum because she likes to wear high heels in public.
The abs repersent my Grandpa because I think he is strong in the inside.
The words represent Benji Marshall because he said these words to the mentally disabled kids and the words were, " If you try your best you could do it."

Back to the past

Last Friday the Senior School went to Howick Historical Village. When we arrived we ate lunch straight away. After we went to a building and inside were stuff and antiques that I have never seen before. First thing we did inside was a game but not just any other game it was an olden day game. After we had another olden day game. That was the best experience playing a game that I have never played before.

Then we went to school. But it wasn’t our school it was the 1800s school. The teacher said ladies first so the girls went inside before the boys. When we got inside the teacher told us “there is only one rule and that is if you speak without permission there will be a consequence. That consequence is a smack and there is plenty of weapons and I am not afraid to use it. First we had to write something with a olden day fashion pen and ink. Then after the teacher picked me to be the score maker for a spelling test. It was the boys verses the girls. When it finished the girls ended up beating the boys 9 points to 4.

Then we had lunch. I was starving. Finally we had to do our last assignment. It was a scavenger hunt. Our group did pretty good. Sadly we had to go back to school. That was an experience that I never want to forget.

Goals

My goal for maths is to reach a standard that I am expected at.

My goal for reading is to have good grammar and not muck up words.

My goal for writing is to use more punctuation.

My personal goal is to get an awesome mark in sport.
